Tomoro AI Productivity Design Assessment

Show us how you explain AI
and how you use it.

This process is designed to understand how you think, how you communicate, and how you apply AI in practice. We are more interested in clear judgement and real examples than overbuilt demos.

01

The Process

The process has three stages. Early stages focus on your experience and communication. Later stages focus on how you explain AI tools and how you have applied them in real work.

Stage 1

First Interview

A short conversation about your background, your AI experience, and how you are using these tools today.

Stage 2

Live AI Walkthrough

A 10-minute walkthrough of ChatGPT or another AI assistant you know well, followed by discussion.

Final Stage

Show Something You Built

A walkthrough of a tool, workflow, assistant, or system you have built using AI, with time for questions.

02

What To Prepare

Live Walkthrough

Be ready to teach an AI tool clearly.

In the interview, we will ask you to walk us through ChatGPT or another AI assistant you use regularly. The goal is not a polished presentation. The goal is to see how clearly you can explain it.

  • 1
Explain what it does Give a simple overview of the tool and what it is useful for.
  • 2
Show the core features Walk through the parts you think matter most in real usage.
  • 3
Talk through prompting Explain what makes a weak prompt versus a strong prompt and how you improve results.
  • 4
Show how you review outputs Talk through how you sense-check, refine, and use the responses you get back.
Build / Demo

Bring something you have actually made.

For the final stage, come prepared to show us something you have built using AI. Ideally, it is something that improves human productivity or effectiveness. It does not need to be a polished enterprise product. Practical and thoughtful beats elaborate for its own sake.

  • 1
Choose a real example This could be a workflow, assistant, automation, lightweight tool, or system that helps you or others work more effectively.
  • 2
Explain the problem Tell us what you were trying to improve, remove, or speed up.
  • 3
Talk through the approach Show what tools you used, what decisions you made, and what tradeoffs mattered.
  • 4
Reflect on what happened Tell us what worked, what did not, and what you would improve next.
Example Walkthrough Setup
Imagine you are speaking to a group who already have access to ChatGPT, but do not really understand how to use it yet. Walk us through the tool, how you use it, and how you help someone get better results from it.

03

Good To Know

Expected prep time is a few hours, not a major project. You do not need to build something new unless you want to. A strong real example is usually better than a rushed custom demo.

04

What Happens In Each Stage

Stage 1

First conversation

We will talk through your background, your current use of AI tools, and the work you have done so far.

Stage 2

Walkthrough and discussion

You will guide us through an AI tool you know well, then discuss how you use it in practice.

Final Stage

Build playback

You will show us something you have built and talk through the problem, approach, and outcome.

Format

Simple and live

We expect live conversations and screen sharing, rather than a lengthy take-home project.
